Lawrence Robb eliminated from Strictly after triple dance-off
Lawrence Robb exits Strictly in triple dance-off

Emmerdale actor Lawrence Robb became the latest contestant to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing, following the show's first-ever triple dance-off on the results show on November 1. He faced Bethany Antonia and Jaime Winstone, and after a mistake in his tango to the Ghostbusters theme song, the judges decided to send him home.

James Jordan's View on the Elimination

Former Strictly professional James Jordan agreed with the judges' decision, though he believes Jowita Przystał was 'stitched up'. Speaking to Daily Star via WhichBingo, he said: "Lawrence made a big mistake, and even if he hadn't made the mistake and danced it right, it would have been a toss-up between him and Bethany going."

He added: "There was no way Jaime was going to go. She was clearly the best out of those three. I also think Jowita was a bit stitched up. Everyone else has got brilliant dramatic songs, and she gets Ghostbusters, so what was the poor girl supposed to do? It was always going to be cringe."

Jaime Winstone's Injury Announcement

While Jaime survived the dance-off, she will not dance this weekend due to an injury. In a statement on Instagram, she said: "I am absolutely devastated not to be dancing this weekend due to a torn abdominal muscle. I am in considerable pain, and my doctors have advised complete rest to give my body the best possible chance to heal."

She continued: "As frustrating as it is, I have to put my health first and follow their advice to step away from dancing this week. I love every moment of dancing and performing with Carlos, and I am praying for a speedy recovery so that I can continue this magical journey."

Jaime thanked fans for their support, saying: "I want to thank everyone for their incredible support so far. It means more than you know. Wishing everyone on the show all the luck, love and strength for Saturday night, and I hope to be back on that dance floor very soon. With love, Jaime."

Support from Celebrities and Fans

Many people commented on the post, with Delta Goodrem writing: "Ahhhh sending all the healing energy, beautiful Jaime, the same way you gave me so much love and support!!!! Heal and rest, get better. We come back fighting!! xxx" Dani Dyer wrote: "We love you so much." Shirley Ballas commented: "We wish you a speedy recovery. Take care of yourself, health first." Strictly Come Dancing airs Saturday November 7 on BBC One from 6:30pm.
