Emmerdale fans are predicting that Ruby Miligan will be the one to expose Sadie King, after Sadie's affair with Caleb Miligan was revealed on the ITV soap. Sadie has gone too far this week, seducing Caleb as part of a plan to ruin his marriage to Ruby.
What began as a scheme with Joe Tate to destroy the couple's lives has seen Sadie set Ruby up to make everyone believe she has an alcohol problem. Sadie then convinced Caleb that Ruby had cheated on him with Ross Barton, leading Caleb to declare his marriage over and sleep with Sadie.
Could Ruby take revenge?
With concerns that Ruby and Caleb will split for good, speculation is growing that Ruby could be the one to expose Sadie once and for all. In her anger, and given what Ruby is capable of, she could trigger Sadie's downfall and possibly take revenge.
Fans certainly hope so, with one writing: "Sadie is in need of another slap, this time from Ruby! I can’t wait she’s found out on this manipulation ride she’s on with Caleb and Ruby!"
Another fan said: "I'm hoping Ruby has her figured out and will be the one to take her down after what she's doing to her, it's so awful." A third added: "I had a thought, maybe Caleb and Ruby are playing Sadie?"
Fans slam the storyline
A fourth fan commented: "I really thought at first that Ruby was pretending to fall for Sadie's tricks but now I can't believe how she's not seeing it. The alcohol and the lies and the searching around the depot, it's all so obvious."
"I really hope Ruby sees sense soon and takes revenge on Sadie. Sadie needs a downfall. Maybe Ruby and Nicola can team up and take down Sadie," they added.
Other fans criticised the storyline and Caleb and Ruby for being "gullible" about Sadie, despite their previously strong partnership. A fan fumed: "Caleb, listening to a woman he has known for weeks. This storyline is beyond ridiculous now, he and Ruby were solid."
Another fan commented: "Caleb and Ruby were good but this is getting ridiculous," as one said: "This Sadie, Caleb, Ruby stuff has got really stupid now."
A final comment said of the storyline: "So Caleb doesn’t know his wife at all and believes the low life Sadie, who he’s been warned about by multiple people of her twisted past. Ruby is better off without him if he thinks so little of his wife."
