Sean Slater (Rob Kazinsky) confronts Craig Ingram (Matthew James Bailey) outside the hospital in Wednesday's EastEnders, as the former detective faces consequences for his abuse of Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd).
Amy left the Square with Craig last week, prompting her dad Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) to search for her. Sean, who returned to Walford and has a history with Amy's mum Roxy (Rita Simons), made it his mission to track down the missing teen.
Sean's Plan to Bring Amy Back
Sean suggested that Denise Fox (Diane Parish), who is undergoing treatment for blood cancer, record a message claiming to have received bad news, hoping it would bring Amy back. Amy, meanwhile, struggled with the fact that Craig had hit her and, when he ordered her to break into the salon to get cash, she complied.
While there, Amy learned of Denise's alleged bad news and urged Craig to take her to the hospital. When Sean saw that his plan had worked, he headed outside to the parking area where he found Craig, who slowly realised the game was up.
What Happens Next in Walford
Sean promises to be Craig's 'conscience', meaning he plans to hold him to account and make him pay – but it remains unclear whether he will do so on the right or wrong side of the law. Amy, meanwhile, was not pleased when she realised Denise had lied, raising questions about whether she will see it as a betrayal and return to Craig.
Elsewhere, Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) puts Max Branning (Jake Wood) in his place when he attempts to get involved in the tension between her and son Lee (Danny Hatchard), who showed up to an antenatal class drunk. Gemma Hawkins (Patricia Potter) meets with Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton), who asks her to set up a book club in the Square.
Bonfire Night Drama
Ian Beale's (Adam Woodyatt) bonfire night gets off to a bad start when Ryder's (Felix Uff) fireworks are out of date. Ian asks Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) for some of hers, but Elaine thinks he is asking her on a date – and refuses the fireworks when she realises otherwise.
Ryder and Oscar Branning (Pierre Counihan-Moullier) join forces to steal Elaine's fireworks, leading to more tension with Ian – until Ian interrupts her with a kiss. EastEnders airs these scenes Wednesday November 4 at 7:30pm on BBC One or streams from 6am on BBC iPlayer.
