EastEnders is set for explosive scenes next week, with the late Lola Pearce making an emotional 'return' and a fan favourite feared dead after a shock arrest. The BBC One soap is building towards its Christmas death, with dramatic twists for several characters.
Lola, played by Danielle Harold, tragically died in June after a brain cancer battle. In upcoming episodes, Billy Mitchell struggles without his granddaughter, while Jay Brown is also grieving. Honey Mitchell surprises Jay with a recorded message from Lola, offering words of encouragement that leave him stunned.
Meanwhile, a major murder twist unfolds as police arrest Nish Panesar and his son Ravi Gulati over the disappearance of Eve Unwin. Eve has been missing since Nish discovered her secret affair with his wife Suki. Although Ravi let Eve live, she has not returned. Stacey Slater receives flowers supposedly from Eve but realises they are fake, leading Suki to uncover Nish's involvement. Suki plans revenge, and later Jack Branning reveals that Nish and Ravi have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Elsewhere, Denise Fox tells husband Jack Branning their marriage is over after drifting apart. Despite trying to fight for the relationship, she decides to leave, devastating stepdaughter Amy Mitchell, who flees the house. The split comes just days before a character is potentially killed off in the Christmas death storyline.
