George Knight (Colin Salmon) and his two daughters arrive in Albert Square from Marbella, causing chaos in EastEnders. While George is well-received by some locals, his daughters Anna and Gina (Molly Rainford and Francesca Henry) are instantly disliked for their party-starting antics, seemingly unaware of a recent tragedy on the Square.
Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) is horrified when George introduces himself as Elaine Peacock's (Harriet Thorpe) partner and reveals he has come to help run the Queen Vic. Linda struggles with the new house guests, especially as love-struck Elaine and George make themselves at home.
Things escalate when Linda overhears George on the phone and realises he hasn't sold his bar in Marbella. Concluding he has no money to support the Vic's accounts, she furiously orders him and his daughters out. However, George stuns everyone by getting down on one knee and proposing to Elaine in front of the pub's patrons.
Elaine is unsure whether to accept, and Linda urges her to call off the relationship, suspecting George is a gold digger. After consulting Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), George takes his advice to fight for what he wants and discusses the future with Elaine. Meanwhile, Linda makes a discovery about George's Marbella bar and confronts him with what she believes is game-changing information.
