Craig Revel Horwood Drops Strictly Bombshell: 'I'm Not Leaving, But I'm Not Doing Every Series' | Exclusive
Craig Revel Horwood hints at reduced Strictly Come Dancing role

Strictly Come Dancing's iconic pantomime villain, Craig Revel Horwood, has set the record straight on his future with the hit BBC show, delivering a classic 'it's a maybe' that will leave fans on tenterhooks.

In an exclusive chat, the notoriously hard-to-please judge, famous for his scathing critiques and love of a dramatic paddle, confirmed he has no plans for a permanent exit. However, he dropped a significant hint that his time in the judging chair might become less frequent.

'I'm Not Going Anywhere... Permanently'

'I'm not leaving,' Revel Horwood stated definitively, putting to rest any immediate fears of his departure. But he quickly added a caveat that suggests a new chapter is on the horizon. 'I'm not doing every series,' he revealed, suggesting a more flexible approach to his role in the future.

The 59-year-old star compared his potential new arrangement to that of head judge Shirley Ballas, highlighting the show's adaptability. 'Shirley doesn't do the tour, for instance. So I think that's what I'll be doing, just picking and choosing when I can and can't do things.'

Championing the Rightful Winner

Revel Horwood also took time to lavish praise on the most recent winner of the Glitterball trophy, Ellie Leach. The former Coronation Street actress and her professional partner Vito Coppola triumphed in the 2023 final against fellow finalists Bobby Brazier and Layton Williams.

'I thought she was absolutely brilliant,' he gushed. 'She was up against some really stiff competition... but she was the right winner.' He commended her incredible journey from a novice to a confident dancer, a transformation he has witnessed countless times over his 20-series tenure.

His comments serve as a heartfelt endorsement of the public's decision, cementing Ellie Leach's place in Strictly history.
