Corrie's Christina risks all in killer confrontation

Coronation Street's Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) is set to take a dangerous step in her quest for justice over her biological daughter's death, as she prepares to confront the man she believes is responsible.

It was revealed weeks ago that Christina is the real mother of Rachel Parkinson, who was allegedly murdered by Tim Metcalfe's (Joe Duttine) cousin Richie (Nathan Sussex) earlier this year. Richie and his teenage daughter Lucy (Anya Dewin) claimed that Richie killed Rachel in self-defence, but Christina has her doubts.

Christina's suspicion grows

After watching one of Lucy's old family videos, Christina spotted Rachel in the background. When Richie approached her, it became clear that Rachel was scared of her husband. Christina watched the moment in horror and later told George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) that she believes Richie was abusing Rachel, not the other way round.

Determined to get answers, Christina decided to write to Richie in prison. In upcoming episodes, she goes to visit him.

Risking her safety

During the meeting, Christina tries to win Richie's trust by claiming she has a brother who went through a similar situation. While Richie appears grateful for the support, George worries that Christina is getting out of her depth.

Meanwhile, Tim tells Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) that Lucy will soon be returning to live with them. In the cafe, Sally confides in Christina and reveals she is worried about Lucy moving back in.

With Christina so determined to protect her granddaughter, viewers will have to wait to see what she says next.
