Move over, Kaleb Cooper—Clarkson’s Farm has a fresh face who has captured the spotlight. In the fifth season of the hit Prime Video series, Jeremy Clarkson continues to navigate the challenges of running Diddly Squat, his 1,000-acre farm in Oxfordshire, along with his pub, The Farmer’s Dog. After fans warmed to Harriet Cowan in season four, the new season introduces another standout character: Charlotte Kingham.
Who Is Charlotte Kingham?
Kingham, 22, serves as the head butcher at Hops and Chops, a food supplier for Clarkson’s pub. She has now made her television debut, having previously gained attention on the butcher’s Instagram pages. Her first scene was memorable: after Clarkson complained about customer issues—including the theft of 400 pint glasses weekly—Kingham shared her own grievance: people keep telling her she resembles Cooper.
“You moaned, with some justification, that customers were saying you looked like Kaleb,” Clarkson remarked. Kingham replied, “There was a comment that I was Kaleb after transition.” A concerned Clarkson added, “See? This is what I have to put up with as landlord.”
Kingham’s Life Beyond the Farm
Kingham is also a rugby player for Cheltenham Tigers RFC. She recently celebrated the Britain’s Got Talent victory of The Hawkstone Farmers’ Choir, formed by Clarkson. “A massive congratulations to @thehawkstonefarmerschoir – you have done the nation proud,” she wrote on Instagram, adding that she won £2,000 by betting on them. She also shared an update on her rugby career, revealing a broken ankle that required six months of rehab. She returned to the field in February and scored her first try, expressing gratitude for the support she received.
Season 5 Highlights
In season five, Kingham assists Clarkson when he struggles to build a bonfire. The TV star ends up burning an effigy of Keir Starmer over Labour’s proposed 20 per cent inheritance tax hikes, which Clarkson warned could spell disaster for farmers. Last season introduced Harriet Cowan, who filled in as farm manager while Cooper toured his one-man show. Cowan won viewers over, though Cooper seemed unimpressed upon meeting her. Clarkson told Cooper, “Right, now, that’s Harriet. Now be nice – behave.” Despite initial tension, Cowan and Cooper became friends off-camera, with Cowan saying, “Kaleb’s amazing. Me and him are so close now.”
