Claire Foy was pictured by ECHO photographers filming the new BBC drama You Are Here outside Moorfields station in Liverpool, where the Merseyrail livery on the Old Hall Street entrance was replaced with London Underground signage.
The 42-year-old, known for playing Queen Elizabeth II in the Netflix series The Crown, stars alongside Succession's Matthew Macfadyen in the adaptation of David Nicholls' best-selling novel. Nicholls has adapted his own text into an eight-part series about two divorcees brought together by a mutual friend on a long-distance group walking weekend in the English countryside.
Story and Production Details
A BBC release said: "Following the group walk, Marnie and Michael unexpectedly find themselves setting off on an epic adventure. Against the odds, they end up on the brink of a relationship that neither was looking for, but which might be exactly the one they both need."
"You Are Here is about finding a connection when you least expect it and overcoming the obstacles of midlife. Treading the tricky path from loneliness to love, Marnie and Michael go coast-to-coast across the stunning (and sometimes soaking) English countryside, navigating an undeniable attraction that is as exhilarating as it is terrifying."
ECHO photographers captured production crews outside the Old Hall Street exit of Moorfields station. Foy was spotted in character as Marnie, walking alongside co-star Josiah Green-Mhlanga.
Filming Notices and Local Impact
A notice at the station entrance said: "Please be advised that filming is taking place in this area in connection with the production of a television programme provisionally entitled 'You Are Here' (Programme)."
It added that entering the area grants Element Pictures YAH Limited the right to film, photograph and record individuals and use their likeness and voice without compensation in the production, distribution and exploitation of the programme. The notice stated: "If you do not wish to be photographed, recorded or appear under these conditions, you should leave this area immediately."
The adaptation is a joint production between the BBC and STARZ, facilitated by the Liverpool Film Office. Old Hall Street has recently hosted filming for Army of Shadows and Hercule. Matthew Macfadyen was recently in the city for filming of Legacy of Spies.
