Rudy's has confirmed that its newest restaurant in Monton, Salford, will open on Sunday, November 8 from 12pm. The 41st site for the pizza brand is located on Monton Road, inside the former Bennetts Furnishers store, which has been vacant since 2022.
Expansion and launch plans
Rudy's, which started life 11 years ago in Ancoats, now operates 40 restaurants across the country, including sites on Peter Street and Portland Street in Manchester city centre, as well as in Prestwich, Chorlton and Didsbury. The Monton opening marks the brand's first location in Salford.
To celebrate the launch, Rudy's is partnering with Salford Foundation, a charity that delivers opportunities, support and training for children, young people and adults across Salford, Greater Manchester and the North West. A now sold-out pre-opening event will see all proceeds donated to the charity, while guests visiting the new pizzeria will also have the opportunity to donate.
What to expect at the new venue
Neal Bates, managing director at Rudy's, said: "We're really excited to open Rudy's Monton this November and bring our pizza to Salford for the first time. Monton has a fantastic food and drink scene, and we can't wait to welcome both new guests and familiar faces to the new pizzeria.
"We're also proud to also be supporting Salford Foundation and helping raise money for an organisation doing such important work in the local community. We can't wait to welcome guests through the doors, fire up the oven and finally share a pizza with our new neighbours in Monton."
Rudy's will join neighbouring venues including Eden Italian, Wonder & Wild, Pantasia, Leo's and the Blind Pig pub and bar. The company says it 'pays homage to some of the world's most renowned' pizzerias and pizza makers through its 'collaborative limited-edition rotating specials, offering guests exciting new flavour combinations while staying true to their authentic Neapolitan roots'.
Menu highlights and jobs
Recent specials have included The Peppe: Fior di latte, creamy lemon ricotta, bresaola and sweet confit tomatoes, finished with fresh lemon zest and basil. The special was inspired by the team's visit to Gruppo Peppe in Paris. Founded by award-winning Neapolitan pizzaiolo Peppe Cutraro, the group is ranked 10th among the world's best artisan pizza brands in the 50 Top Pizza awards 2025.
Other popular choices include the Morello Cherry or Mandarino spritzers, Rudy's Homemade Lemonade, the iconic Tiramisu made fresh everyday, and a Panna Cotta Cheesecake topped with red berry compote and white chocolate shavings.
The new restaurant seats 120 and is creating up to 30 new jobs.
