Channel 4 Series Shows Murray's Scottish Hotel

Channel 4 is set to air a three-part observational series titled Our Scottish Hotel, offering a behind-the-scenes look at Kim and Andy Murray's Cromlix Hotel, near Dunblane, as the couple undertake their most ambitious renovation yet.

The series, filmed over nearly a year, follows the tennis star and his wife as they manage a major building project that includes two new restaurants, while maintaining the hotel's five-star service. The couple acquired the 19th-century estate in 2013 and have spent over a decade transforming it into one of Scotland's most celebrated luxury destinations.

Behind the Scenes of a Major Renovation

Cameras were given access during what the show describes as the couple's biggest financial gamble since they took ownership. The hotel closed for five months to allow the most extensive transformation work to begin, testing every department. Viewers will see staff continue to welcome guests while builders undertake the renovations.

Kim Murray, speaking about the show, said: "The last couple of years have been really full of change at Cromlix with a huge building project and a totally new direction for fine dining and wellness, and I was really keen to document that as there were so many personal stories and interesting discoveries along the way."

Working Together for the First Time

Kim noted that working with her husband was a new experience, saying: "Andy and I haven’t worked on anything together before, so that was a fascinating process - and a learning curve! I’ve loved shaping this building and estate into what’s now become a really thriving and much-loved Scottish business. I hope people enjoy watching the show and meeting the team behind the hotel."

The series, produced by Rogan Scotland for Channel 4, spans three 60-minute episodes. An air date has not yet been confirmed.

A Michelin Key Milestone

In September, Cromlix was upgraded to a two-key ranking by the Michelin Hotel Guide, an award given to hotels providing an "exceptional stay". Only four hotels in Scotland currently hold this distinction. The hotel dedicated the award to its team, described as a "true testament" of genuine hospitality.

Emily Shields, commissioning editor at Channel 4, said: "Cromlix is a fascinating world to step inside, and this series offers a rare glimpse behind the scenes of a business where no detail is overlooked. Kim and Andy are embarking on an ambitious transformation, but at its heart this is a story about people: the team whose hard work brings Cromlix to life, and the shared desire to create something truly special."
