More4 has confirmed that 24 Hours in Police Custody will replace Amanda Owen's series Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive & Kids in the TV schedule next week. The current series of the renovation show ended on Monday night, with the police documentary set to air in its usual 9pm slot.
Final Episode Details
The synopsis for the episode that aired on More4 reads: "The girls hold their first-ever sleepover at the new Owen family home, and Nancy and Clemmie set off on horseback into the wildflower meadow for their first ride since winter."
It adds: "The whole family moves furniture that Amanda's collected over the years into Anty John's as the house's interior finally begins to take shape."
Replacement Show
The synopsis for the replacement episode teases: "Feature-length special telling the inside story of an armed siege in a Bedford tower block, and including unprecedented access to the command suite during a live siege."
It continues: "A man rings 999 to report that he's seen a man with a weapon that looks like an AK-47 rifle shouting that he'll shoot the next person who he sees in the head. The call has come from a block of flats where two men have already blockaded themselves in a flat. As one of the men inside begins posting live on Facebook, armed officers are ordered to surround the building."
Renewed for Two More Series
It has been confirmed that Our Farm Next Door has been renewed for two more series. Production company Wise Owl Films will continue to follow the Owens for seasons five and six, spanning 10 episodes in total. Season five is set to pick up where the fourth instalment left off, following Amanda and the girls' first sleepover at Anty John's, and will cover the family's lives from this past summer through spring 2027.
The broadcaster has teased the upcoming seasons, revealing: "With all eleven Owens involved, the series follows Edith, Violet and their sisters as they open up the cream tea van at Ravenseat, while Sid and Miles continue to take on more farming duties – all amidst the ever-present backdrop of the changing seasons in Swaledale for Amanda, Clive and their family."
