Alesha Dixon has announced a free intimate show in Manchester later this month, with tickets available now. The performance is part of the Skiddle Vault live series of events from ticketing platform Skiddle.
The singer, also a judge on Britain’s Got Talent, first rose to fame in the 00s with R&B group Mis-Teeq, known for hits including Scandalous, One Night Stand and All I Want. She has enjoyed a successful solo career and won Strictly Come Dancing in 2007, later joining the show as a judge for four years. Earlier this year, it was announced she would become the new host of The Voice UK alongside Stacey Solomon.
Venue and event details
On Thursday, November 16, Dixon will perform at the CUPRA City Garage in Manchester, which opened in St Ann’s Square last summer. The venue operates as a car sales room, cafe, events space, and wellness centre. The car brand has hosted several panel discussions and events there, including part of this year’s Manchester Fashion Week. In June, CUPRA held a surprise show from Chase & Status at the City Garage, featuring a special after-party with the UK production duo.
For the Manchester show, Dixon will be joined by house DJ Jess Bays. Tickets are now available via the Skiddle website, with the night promised to be an ‘intimate, up-close performance’ in the venue’s ‘underground club space’.
Skiddle’s commitment to live music
“Skiddle has never been content only existing behind the scenes,” Jamie Scahill, Head of Marketing, said. “We support some of the country’s biggest events, and it’s only by putting ourselves on the front line that we can truly understand the challenges that promoters face and what it requires to put on sustainable events.”
“Our free Skiddle Vault parties are a way for us to give something back to Manchester. We’re a team of music fans and Skiddle has always kept live music at the heart of what we do, so being able to bring artists like Alesha Dixon and Jess Bays to an incredible local venue like the Cupra City Garage is really exciting.”
