Steve Coogan and Caleb Jonte Edwards have been cast in the fourth season of HBO's Emmy-winning series 'The White Lotus', created by Mike White. Coogan, a two-time Oscar nominee known for his iconic character Alan Partridge, and Edwards, who appeared in the Australian series 'Black Snow', join a growing ensemble that includes Alexander Ludwig and AJ Michalka.
As is customary for the show, plot details and character descriptions remain under wraps. Helena Bonham Carter is reportedly in negotiations for a role, though HBO has not confirmed her involvement, and Chris Messina is in early talks to join the cast.
The dark comedy, which examines the dynamics between employees and guests at luxury hotels, will follow a new group of guests and staff over the course of a week. After seasons set in Hawaii, Italy, and Thailand, the fourth season takes place in France, with Château de La Messardière in Saint-Tropez serving as the central location.
White serves as creator, writer, and director, and executive produces alongside David Bernad and Mark Kamine. Coogan's recent credits include 'How Are You? It’s Alan (Partridge)' and 'The Sandman', while Edwards' most notable role is a guest part on 'Black Snow'.
