Big Brother viewers say they "knew it" after an unaired audition clip appeared to expose housemate Frankie's gameplan ahead of the 2026 finale.
It is finals week in the Big Brother house, with eight housemates still competing for the 2026 crown. The live finale airs on Thursday (November 5), followed by a reunion episode on Friday (November 6). Frankie, 23, joined on day one and has avoided facing eviction over the last eight weeks.
Frankie's audition clip sparks backlash
Despite his survival, Frankie has faced criticism from viewers over conflicting stories about his life back home. Some became convinced he was fabricating stories to boost his chances of reaching the final, particularly around his relationship status - he initially suggested he was recovering from a breakup but later spoke about a girlfriend waiting for him at home.
On last night's (November 3) episode of The Group Chat, hosts GK Barry and Kate Lawler shared Frankie's audition clip. In it, he explained he joined the experiment with the sole goal of winning, even if it meant playing a game.
He said: "I'm not coming in here to lose, at the end of the day. If I have to play a game, I have to play a game. That's the way it goes. I'm not gonna be obvious with it, it's gonna be very discreet. It's gonna be very smart."
He added: "Surprisingly, I'm very emotionally intelligent. I understand people very, very well. So I feel like being in the Big Brother house, people will be very surprised on how I move and how I act. If I am in that position where I've got a chance to win this show - which, I'm gonna win this show."
Viewers react to Frankie's admission
ITV also aired audition clips from Catrin, Lynx and Omar, who all admitted they would love to win. Frankie was the only one who openly declared he would win by any means necessary.
Fans took to social media to criticise the housemate's "intentions." One posted: "FAKE FRANKIE!!! if anyone in that house is performative it's HIM as we've all known since day one #bbuk."
Another wrote: "Frankie admitting in his audition that he will play a game if he has to makes me doubt his intentions even more now [...] #bbuk #TheGroupChat."
A third viewer said: "It's clear he has had a game plan throughout and is 100% disingenuous. I can't believe none of the housemates have cottoned on." A final person added: "Hahaha Frankie... you're not going to win #bbuk."
Some viewers defended Frankie, arguing he may have exaggerated his competitive nature to stand out from other applicants and secure a place on the show. Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
