Anton Du Beke interrupted This Morning host Ben Shephard when asked about public reaction to his upcoming tour with Giovanni Pernice. The Strictly star appeared on the ITV show to promote their summer tour 'Together Again', but sidestepped questions about the controversy surrounding his dance partner.
Ben Shephard began to ask about the public's response to the duo reuniting, but Anton quickly interjected: 'Wonderful! We call the show Together Again and I haven't seen him for a few months... We're getting together in May and I'm looking forward to it.' He added that they would perform both new and classic numbers from their previous collaborations.
Giovanni Pernice left Strictly Come Dancing last year after complaints of misconduct from his celebrity partner Amanda Abbington, who alleged a 'toxic environment' and 'inappropriate, mean, nasty bullying'. The professional dancer denied any abusive behaviour, and a BBC investigation upheld 'some, but not all' of the complaints.
Last month, Anton appeared on Good Morning Britain where he was asked about welcoming Giovanni back to Strictly. He declined to give a direct answer, instead focusing on Giovanni's success in Italy's version of the show and their upcoming tour. 'I was delighted for Giovanni this autumn because he went over to Italy and did the Strictly Come Dancing there and he won,' Anton said.
