Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly have disappointed fans by revealing that the upcoming episode of their podcast, Hanging Out with Ant and Dec, will be their last for now. The announcement comes ahead of the return of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here, which ITV has confirmed for later this month.
The duo, who first met on Byker Grove in the early 90s as PJ & Duncan, have worked together for more than 30 years, fronting shows like Britain's Got Talent and I'm A Celebrity. The reality show, first aired in 2002, typically runs for three weeks in November, with the pair hosting live from Australia's Gold Coast.
Podcast Series Ends After 80 Episodes
In January, the pair announced they were launching their first podcast series, a first in their three-decade career. They have now posted a video to their joint Instagram account with the caption: "This series of Hanging Out is coming to an end! We’ve had the best time over the last 80 episodes… so naturally, we’ve made a dramatic trailer for the last one. Does it have anything to do with Thursday’s episode? Absolutely not. But apparently this is how you get people to watch things these days… has it worked?"
Fans responded quickly, with @nicolle_totten saying: "Nooooo is it coming back for series 2? Never missed an episode." @hazel.turner.reid commented: "What do you mean the last one? WHAT?!" @downhamsharon replied: "Oh no, its coming to the end, I have watched every single one, the highlight of my week, so sad."
I'm A Celebrity Return Date Confirmed
ITV announced that I'm A Celebrity will return on Monday, November 16, at 9pm on ITV1, STV, ITVX & STV Player. The original start date of Sunday, November 15, was reportedly pushed back due to ITV's coverage of the UEFA Nations League, with England due to play Spain in Madrid at 8.45pm.
Other fans expressed dismay, with @antdecfan writing: "Can’t believe Thursday is gonna be the last one until the next series." @fionakate14 posted: "Please don’t let it be the last one @antanddec." @laurajh682 added: "Well that’s the rest of my year ruined!!" The podcast's final episode is set to air on Thursday, with the new I'm A Celebrity series following later this month.
