A new Netflix documentary series exploring the rise, fall and reunion of Take That launched on Tuesday. The three-part series, simply titled 'Take That', features never-before-seen footage charting the band's journey from their early days in Manchester to global pop superstardom.
Original members Gary Barlow, Robbie Williams, Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Jason Orange share their personal experiences, with the documentary offering an intimate look at the highs, heartbreaks and enduring legacy of one of the UK's most successful bands. Across three decades, they sold out shows worldwide, achieved 12 number one singles and sold over 45 million records.
However, success also led to their downfall, as the band became a 'money-making machine' and tensions splintered the group. “The more successful we became, the bigger the audiences,” Mark says in the trailer. “But it was also the beginning of the end for us as a band.” The documentary also reveals new music is on the way, with footage showing the band in the rehearsal studio.
Fans can watch the documentary without a Netflix subscription by taking advantage of a free Netflix offer from Sky.
