The Forgotten Battle, a Dutch war film released in 2020, is now streaming on Netflix. The movie, which recounts the 1944 Battle of the Scheldt, holds a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
A Hidden Gem on Netflix
Directed by Matthijs van Heijningen Jr with a screenplay by Paula van der Oest, the film stars Gijs Blom, Jamie Flatters, Tom Felton, Susan Radder, Jan Bijvoet, Coen Bril, Theo Barklem-Biggs and Scott Reid alongside a larger ensemble cast.
It is the second-most expensive Dutch film ever produced, after the 2006 film Black Book (Zwartboek). The Forgotten Battle was made on a production budget of approximately €14 million and garnered $6 million at the box office, reports the Express.
