Sophie Habboo and Jamie Laing's Disney+ Series Reveals Past Drama and New Parenthood
Sophie Habboo will deliver a hilarious response to an old Made In Chelsea clip in the opening scenes of her new Disney+ reality series, Raising Chelsea. The three-part series follows Sophie, 31, and her husband Jamie Laing, 37, from early pregnancy through labour and finally meeting their baby son, Ziggy, who is now nearly four months old.
Revisiting Past Drama
Just seconds into the opening episode, Sophie issues a priceless quip in response to a shocking Made In Chelsea clip from 2017. The clip details the start of their relationship, capturing a tense confrontation where Sophie confronted Jamie after discovering he had slept with her and another woman, fellow Made In Chelsea star Rosi Mai Waldon, on the same day.
In the original scene, Sophie slammed Jamie, saying, 'You were my friend and you've embarrassed me so much. You slept with Rosi in the morning and slept with me that evening.' When Jamie responded with disbelief, Sophie continued, 'I've got every single message on my phone. I thought you were the best person ever, and you're not. You're bad.'
Luckily, the duo moved on from the moment and rekindled their romance weeks later. As the clip plays in their new series, Sophie quips, 'Glad we moved on from that.'
Emotional Pregnancy Revelation
Elsewhere in the documentary, fans witness the tear-jerking moment Sophie tells Jamie she is pregnant with their first child. In a touching scene, cameras roll as Sophie reveals a 'faint line' on a pregnancy test. Jamie responds in shock, saying, 'No you're not... what?' before collapsing onto the sofa and asking, 'Are you joking? Is that it?'
Jamie later tells the cameras, 'I was in total shock. I was not ready for that,' to which Sophie retorts, 'I don't know why you were so shocked, we were actively trying.' Jamie explains his mixed emotions, stating, 'It was a mixture of anxiety, fear, worry, stress, relief, happiness, joy, love, everything combined into one.'
Lavish Home Renovation
The series also offers a sneak peek into the renovation of their £12 million home, with much of the debut episode dedicated to the makeover. Jamie discusses the mammoth price tag, attributing it to Sophie's 'expensive taste.' He reveals, 'If it was down to me, I would go for a little wood and like, stone, but Sophie's taste is now that.'
One standout expense is the marble floor downstairs, which cost a staggering £44,000. Jamie tells the cameras, 'I had a panic attack... it's a complete and utter joke.' He later tells Sophie, 'You better love this place. I'm being serious, it's a lot,' to which she hits back, 'All you talk about is the money, it's embarrassing.'
The finished house features a chic dark green snug lounge with cream furniture, a marble fireplace, and a huge kitchen with stone flooring and a marble breakfast island. The garden is landscaped with grass and flowers, completing the luxurious transformation.
Postpartum Challenges and Public Scrutiny
In recent interviews, Sophie opened up about the explosive rows she and Jamie had following Ziggy's birth, admitting, 'It was constant, nearly a breakdown every day.' Jamie added, 'I thought at one point Soph was going to divorce me! It was either going to be divorced or one of us was going to murder the other.'
Sophie also addressed pressures to 'snap back' after childbirth, hitting back against unrealistic expectations on social media. She explained, 'I just don't think you can please anyone... Whether you've snapped back or not, it just shouldn't be a thing.' She added that motherhood has made her feel stronger and more self-respecting, with Ziggy as her priority.

Raising Chelsea was commissioned by Sean Doyle, Executive Director, and is produced by Dorothy St Pictures in association with Jampot Productions. The series aims to show a 'true, real, raw journey' of parenthood, with Jamie stating, 'We were determined to show everything.' Sophie agreed, noting, 'We just really went into it pretending the cameras weren't there.'
The series will be available to stream on Disney+ from Thursday, April 2, offering fans an intimate look into the couple's lives, from past drama to present joys and challenges.
