Sky Sports F1 Temporarily Becomes Sky Sports Darts This December
Sky Sports F1 channel change to Darts for festive season

Sky TV subscribers are set for a temporary but significant change to their channel lineup this festive season, as one major sports network gets a complete makeover.

What's Changing on Sky Sports?

With the 2026 Formula One season concluding in Abu Dhabi on December 7, the dedicated F1 channel will soon be without live action. To fill the schedule with fresh content, Sky has confirmed a special switch. From December 10, 2025, until January 5, 2026, Sky Sports F1 on channel 407 will become Sky Sports Darts.

This temporary alteration will allow viewers to catch every thrilling moment of the PDC World Darts Championship live over the Christmas and New Year period. The channel will then revert seamlessly to its regular F1 programming from January 6, in preparation for the next season's racing.

No Action Required for Subscribers

In an email to customers, Sky reassured subscribers that the process will be automatic. Anyone with a Sky Sports package does not need to retune their set-top box or television; the change on channel 407 will happen without any input required.

This move is designed to prevent endless repeats on the channel during the F1 off-season, ensuring sports fans have access to premium live events throughout the holidays.

Sky Boosts Kids' Entertainment Offering

This channel news follows another recent enhancement from the broadcaster aimed at younger viewers. Sky has rolled out a substantial free upgrade for its Sky Kids package, adding the Disney Jr. channel at no extra cost.

Available since November 13, this addition brings popular shows like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+, Bluey, and Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends to the service. The Sky Kids package now offers families ten live channels, including an ad-free Sky Kids channel, Nick Jr., and Cartoon Network, alongside extensive on-demand content for devices like Sky Glass and Sky Q.

Together, these updates signify Sky's ongoing efforts to refresh its offerings, providing tailored content for both sports enthusiasts and families during the busy festive period and beyond.
