Netflix has released the official trailer for its upcoming thriller series 'Unchosen', which stars Happy Valley's Siobhan Finneran. The six-part miniseries, created by Julie Gearey, follows Rosie, a wife and mother living in a fictional conservative religious community, whose life is upended after an encounter with an escaped prisoner named Sam.
The series explores themes of female emancipation and sexual awakening as Rosie begins to question her marriage and upbringing. Netflix teases: 'Sam presents himself as Rosie's saviour, but with his dark criminal past, where does the greatest danger lie - with the cult, or with Sam?'
The cast includes Molly Windsor as Rosie, Asa Butterfield as her husband Adam, Fra Fee as Sam, Siobhan Finneran as Mrs Phillips, and Christopher Eccleston as Mr Phillips. All six episodes will be available on Netflix from April 21.
