Netflix's latest Irish drama, How to Get to Heaven From Belfast, has become a must-watch series for 2026, with all eight episodes now streaming from Thursday, 12th February. Created by Derry Girls writer Lisa McGee, the show follows three women in their 30s who reunite after their close school friend dies in mysterious circumstances.
Irish actress Caoilfhionn Dunne plays Dara, a socially awkward and deeply religious single woman who cares for her mother. Her name, which may puzzle viewers unfamiliar with Irish names, is pronounced 'KEE-lin' or 'KWEE-lin'—in this case, 'KEE-lin'. The name originates from Old Irish and means 'slender and fair'.
Other character names include Sinéad (pronounced 'shin-AYD') and Roisin ('roh-SHEEN'). The series also features the name Saoirse, pronounced 'SER-sha', as well as a cameo from Derry Girls star Saoirse-Monica Jackson.
