Netflix's latest reality series, Age of Attraction, has arrived with a twist that has viewers hooked: contestants must date without revealing their ages. The show, which premiered this week, features 40 singles aged 22 to 60 at a Canadian retreat, all searching for love.
The format requires participants to keep their ages secret until they are ready to commit. Only then do they learn each other's true ages and decide whether to move in together in Vancouver. The experiment aims to test whether love can transcend age barriers.
Fans have taken to social media, with one calling it 'insane' and another predicting few couples will last, given the large age gaps revealed. One viewer noted, 'I didn’t expect majority of the age gaps to be 20+ years.'
Filmed near Whistler and Vancouver, the show’s setting is a deliberate departure from tropical locations. Creator Jennifer O’Connell told Deadline, 'There’s been a million dating shows on tropical islands... we wanted to stand out a little bit.'
