If there’s one thing you can count on for 2026, it’s that the major streamers will raise their prices at some point in the new year. That’s why this year’s Black Friday streaming deals are very enticing: you have an opportunity to lock in below-market rates for up to an entire year. Netflix isn’t offering any Black Friday deal – because it doesn’t have to – but everyone else in the streaming realm is clearly vying to be number two behind the biggest streamer in the world. And they’re slashing prices to get there.
Sadly existing subscribers aren’t eligible for these deals: they’re for new or certain returning subscribers only, depending upon the streamer. If you happen to have a significant other who isn’t subscribed, it might be a good time for them to sign up.
Disney+ with ads and Hulu with ads are available for $4.99 per month for 12 months. At some point in 2026, Disney+ and Hulu will merge into a super Disney+ app, but it’s doubtful that the new price will be less than this year’s Black Friday deal. This is more than half off the current streaming bundle of $12.99 for both services. Disney+ may not have as much original content as it used to, but new seasons of Ahsoka and Daredevil: Born Again will arrive in 2026. Hulu has a more robust slate of originals, including a new season of Only Murders in the Building next year.
HBO Max Basic with ads is $2.99 per month for 12 months, a 70% discount from the regular $10.99 price. Game of Thrones fans will be getting an even bigger treat in 2026. A new spinoff, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, is debuting in January 2026, while House of the Dragon season 3 will debut next summer.
Apple TV’s deal is a lot less generous than many of its streaming rivals, with only half a year to enjoy the discount from the standard $12.99. Apple TV also lags behind other streamers in quantity, but it has a great reputation for releasing quality original series and occasionally good original movies. You probably won’t see a new season of Severance next year, but you could always catch up on the other critically acclaimed Apple shows such as The Studio.
