Heartbreak High Season 3 has introduced a new character named Noah, a student from the rival St Bruno's school who has been dating protagonist Amerie for nearly a year. The final season, released on March 25, picks up about a year after the fire that ended the previous series, following the characters through their last semester.
Noah is played by Samoan Australian actor Ioane Sa’ula, whose film credits include The Fall Guy alongside Ryan Gosling and The Deb by Rebel Wilson. He also appeared in Apple TV's Monarch: Legacy of Monsters and the Australian comedy Bump, where he made his small screen debut. Sa’ula only started acting in 2017, having previously focused on sports; his first stage role was Gomez Addams in a school production of The Addams Family.
Despite Noah's integration into Amerie's friend group, many fans have expressed disappointment on social media, preferring Amerie's previous relationship with Malakai. One X user wrote: "The dude from St Bruno's is Amerie's boyfriend is Noah... oh so when is she getting back with Malakai." Another questioned: "Started Heartbreak High s3... who tf is this Noah bruh." However, some viewers are warming to the newcomer, with one fan admitting: "Okay maybe Noah's not so bad but I still want Amerie and Malakai to end up together."
