HBO Max has finally launched in the UK, six years after its US debut, bringing with it the streaming premiere of Oscar-winning films One Battle After Another and Sinners, as well as the highly-anticipated Harry Potter TV show, which will arrive on the platform this Christmas.
The streaming service, home to award-winning shows such as Succession, The White Lotus, The Last of Us and Game of Thrones, is now available across the UK. It offers four pricing tiers, starting at £4.99 per month for the Basic plan with ads. Subscribers can also access the service via Amazon Prime Channels or through Sky's Ultimate TV bundle, which includes Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max and discovery+ from £22 per month.
Existing Sky and Now customers will find HBO Max included in their subscriptions at no extra cost. Now's £9.99 Entertainment membership now includes HBO Max with ads, while Sky's Ultimate TV packages on Sky Stream, Sky Glass and Sky Q also include the ad-supported tier.
HBO Max's full catalogue is available to stream, including HBO originals, Max originals and Warner Bros Television box sets. Notable titles include Euphoria, House of the Dragon, The Sopranos, The Wire, and Friends, which has returned to UK streaming after leaving Netflix last year.
