Friends is set to return to UK streaming services following its departure from Netflix, with all episodes becoming available on HBO Max when the platform launches in the UK and Ireland on 26th March 2026.
The beloved sitcom had been a staple on Netflix since 2018 but left the streamer in December 2025 due to expiring licensing agreements. HBO Max, owned by Warner Bros. Discovery, will offer the complete series as part of its launch lineup.
Alongside Friends, the platform will feature acclaimed shows such as Succession, The Sopranos, and Game of Thrones, as well as new seasons of Euphoria and House of the Dragon. HBO Max will also be the home of the upcoming Harry Potter TV series and new DC drama Lanterns.
Subscription prices start at £4.99 per month for a basic ad-supported tier, rising to £30.99 per month for a sports package including TNT Sports. The launch marks a significant expansion of HBO Max into the UK market, offering a wide range of films and series.
