Unexpected renewal sparks backlash
The Tyler Perry series follows a stripper and a thriving businesswoman whose lives become intertwined. Season 2 dominated the Netflix Top 10 for weeks, building a substantial following. In December, press reports indicated that season 3 would conclude the story, but Perry announced a fourth season is in development.
Perry stated that the narrative was "far from finished" and that he had "so much more I wanted to explore," thanking loyal fans for their support. However, many viewers took to social media platform X to criticize the decision.
