BBC Two will air a documentary tonight at 9pm featuring the Xudum lion pride in Botswana's Okavango Delta, now recognised as the largest recorded lion pride in the world. The programme follows brave filmmakers as they document the pride's challenges, including missing males and encroaching rival lions.
Viewers will also follow leopard Lediba, who must step up within her pride, and cheetah Pobe, who struggles to keep her two young cubs alive. The documentary highlights the dramatic dynamics of big cat families in the wild.
Elsewhere on television tonight, Channel 4 at 8pm presents a one-off programme where Denise Van Outen investigates sleep disruptors such as food, menopause and snoring, experimenting with gadgets and therapies. BBC One at 9pm features a Caribbean-set murder mystery in a production of The Tempest, where an actor dies on stage.
Other highlights include the series climax of a drama on Sky Atlantic at 9pm, a compilation of viral moments from a popular panel show on BBC One at 10.40pm, and film recommendations including Charlotte Regan's debut feature about a resourceful 12-year-old girl living alone in east London.
