Apple TV Thriller Imperfect Women Debuts With Star Cast

The Apple TV+ psychological thriller Imperfect Women, based on Araminta Hall's novel and adapted by Annie Weisman, has premiered with a star-studded cast including Elisabeth Moss, Kerry Washington, and Kate Mara. The series explores the lives of three longtime friends and the secrets they keep from each other.

Set in Los Angeles, the story begins with the murder of Nancy (Kate Mara). Her friend Eleanor (Kerry Washington) is called to identify the body, and Detective Bethany Ganz (Ana Ortiz) asks her to recall the last time she saw Nancy. A flashback reveals a dinner party for their friend Mary (Elisabeth Moss), where Nancy's affair with a threatening man is revealed.

Across eight episodes, the series shifts perspectives among the three women, uncovering hidden truths. Eleanor is a wealthy non-profit director, Nancy married into old money but came from poverty, and Mary is a stay-at-home mother with a struggling husband. Their friendship, spanning three decades, is tested as they investigate Nancy's death.
