Zara and Mike Tindall made a stylish appearance at Wimbledon on Wednesday, joining a host of other VIPs including Geri Halliwell-Horner and her husband Christian Horner. Before the tennis matches began, the popular royal couple gave a rare interview to Wimbledon Radio Channel, where they were asked about traditions they couldn't live without.
Interview Reveals Lighthearted Exchange
Interviewer Lily Coleman posed the question: "Wimbledon is known for its traditions, players were white, strawberries and cream, pims, what is the one tradition that you could not live without?" After clarifying whether she meant a general life tradition, Mike Tindall responded with humor: "Erm, I'm not sure what that is. I was definitely going to say Pims for Wimbledon, but I don't know about life. I'm all about food... eating is a good one, but I don't really have many traditions."
The couple also discussed their tennis skills in a lighthearted manner. They revealed that they "don't play against each other," but if they did, Mike would win.
Royal Couple's Fashion and Popularity
Zara wore a blue and white striped collared shirt dress, paired with sunglasses and styled her blonde bob with curls. Mike matched his wife in a white suit with a light blue collared shirt. Despite not being working members of the Royal Family, the couple, who married in 2011, remain among the most popular members of the Royal Family.
Other Royal Appearances at Wimbledon
Queen Camilla also made a surprise appearance on Wednesday, sitting in the Royal Box alongside her sister Annabel Elliot, Zara's brother Peter Phillips, and his wife Harriet Phillips. She surprised 23-year-old tennis player just minutes before his Wimbledon quarter-final against Flavio Cobolli.
