The Prince of Wales delighted comedy legend John Cleese with a charming family revelation during a high-profile conservation event in London.
A Royal Family Favourite
At the Tusk Conservation Awards on Wednesday 26 November 2025, Prince William told the Monty Python star that his children have recently discovered the classic 1970s sitcom Fawlty Towers and absolutely adore it. The future King explained they've been enjoying "a lot of family laughs" while watching the iconic comedy series together.
William described how he's been "reminiscing" and "reliving" the popular show "all over again with the children watching - it's brilliant." The heartwarming exchange occurred as the Prince participated in his official duties as royal patron of the Tusk Trust wildlife charity.
Celebrating African Conservation
The event at London's Savoy Hotel honoured outstanding workers dedicated to safeguarding Africa's precious habitat and animals. Before the main ceremony, William mingled with trust ambassadors including Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood and Cleese, who was accompanied by his wife, Jennifer Wade.
