Prince William and Princess Catherine have emerged as the most popular members of the Royal Family in a new poll, with the future King securing a 74% positive approval rating and the Princess of Wales close behind at 72%.
The October 2026 data shows William is viewed negatively by just 18% of respondents, while Catherine holds a 14% negative rating. Together, roughly three-quarters of Britons see the Waleses in a positive light, figures that are largely unchanged over the last few years.
Senior Royals Keep Strong Support
Princess Anne follows with a 68% positive rating, and King Charles holds a 58% positive score, though his approval has fallen four points since the July edition of the tracker and is now at its lowest level since he ascended to the throne.
Duchess Sophie and Prince Edward, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, are also viewed favourably, with 51% of Britons holding positive opinions of them.
York Sisters and Sussexes at the Bottom
Princess Beatrice is liked by just 29% of people, with 31% viewing her negatively, leaving a net score of -2. Princess Eugenie secured a 28% positive rating and a 31% negative score, while 41% of respondents said they "don't know" how they feel about the York siblings.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle fared worse. Meghan's popularity has plummeted to her lowest to date, with 68% of those polled holding a negative opinion of her and only 20% positive. Harry received a 60% negative rating and a 29% positive one.
The only royal less popular than Meghan is Prince Andrew, who holds a 4% positive rating and an 89% negative score. Despite the fallout and ongoing family drama, 58% of the public hold a positive view of the Royal Family in general.
