Chris Radford, the eldest child of Sue and Noel Radford, was born in May 1989, making him 37 years old. Unlike the rest of the family, he rarely appears on the Channel 5 series 22 Kids and Counting, preferring to stay out of the limelight.
Sue was just 14 when she had Chris with Noel, who was four years her senior. The couple has previously spoken about the ridicule they received for starting a family so young.
Chris Radford's career and family
Chris used to work at Noel's bakery like the rest of the family but now works as a glazier. He is married to Nicole Spencer, with whom he shares three children: Maisie-Paige, Jacob, and Oaklyn. Nicole also has four other children from previous relationships—Bailey, Ethan, Albie, and Tobias—of whom Chris is stepfather.
It has previously been explained that Chris did not want to put himself or his family in the spotlight, but Sue and Noel remain very involved in their lives. When Chris's son Oaklyn was born in September 2022, Sue shared on Instagram: "I have been itching to share this news all day, welcome to the family beautiful boy!"
Birthday tribute and upcoming episodes
Last year, Sue and Noel marked Chris's birthday on The Radford Family Facebook page, sharing a picture of Chris playing pool with his dad. The post said: "Another day another birthday in the Radford house this time it's our eldest Chris who's celebrating. Happy birthday Chris hope you've had a lovely day. As you can probably tell Chris chose a game of pool tonight."
The new series of 22 Kids and Counting returns this evening, Sunday, October 11, with viewers being introduced to a new member of the Radford family as Chloe welcomes her second child. Meanwhile, Sue and Noel are taking just five of their youngest children on a camping trip, making it the smallest family holiday in 25 years.
