Prince Harry and Prince William could eventually find a "workman-like solution" to their long-running rift, according to royal author Robert Hardman. Speaking on the latest episode of Palace Confidential, Hardman suggested the brothers might "bump into each other" at events if they both remain based in the UK.
Harry's recent comments on reconciliation
Prince Harry has reportedly not spoken to his brother for years, with the last time they communicated unknown. In a recent GQ interview, Harry again expressed a desire to reconcile with William, covering topics from the family feud to his return to the UK with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Hardman, a journalist and author, said the once-close brothers could potentially cross paths, especially if both are "going to live in this country."
Hardman's assessment of the feud
Hardman said: "If he continues to maintain that, I can't see how he's going to really patch things up with his brother. I'm sure there will be a workman-like solution in time. I mean, there has to be, if they're going to live in this country, they're going to bump into each other at things. They're going to have some sort of way of getting on, but it's not going to be very cool."
The comments come as Harry has spoken openly about his desire to repair the relationship, though no clear timeline for reconciliation has been suggested.
Potential for future interactions
Hardman's remarks suggest that practical considerations may eventually force a working relationship between the brothers. If both continue to reside in the UK, they are likely to encounter each other at royal and public events, making some form of coexistence necessary.
The exact nature of any future arrangement remains unclear, but the possibility of a functional, if not warm, relationship appears plausible.
