Monthly plans start at £47 at Sky Mobile, while EE charges upwards of £90 per month on some tariffs.
Motorola Razr 70 Ultra deal details
At Mobiles.co.uk, the Razr 70 Ultra comes with a £44.99 per month plan offering unlimited data, minutes and texts. This 24-month contract with iD Mobile includes an £89 upfront cost. Monthly prices will rise during the minimum term, with the £44.99 plan increasing to £46.79 from April 2027 and £48.59 from April 2028.
The Razr 70 Ultra, released in May, is Motorola's most premium flip phone. It features a 6.96-inch pOLED main display when open and a 4-inch external display, powered by Snapdragon's 8 Elite processor and Android 16. Motorola says the battery lasts up to 36 hours depending on usage, and users can access AI features via Moto AI 2.0 and Google Gemini, including smart photo editing, circle to search and live translation.
Comparison with Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8
The Razr 70 Ultra rivals Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip8, which can be reduced by 20% in Samsung's pre-Black Friday sale with the code SW20, dropping the 256GB model from £1,149 to £919.20. This compares to £1,199 when buying the Razr 70 Ultra outright at Amazon. Samsung's flip phone has a 6.9-inch main display and 4.1-inch external display, but a single 50MP lens alongside a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a shorter battery life of around 31 hours.
David Snelling, Technology Editor at the Daily Express, said Samsung 'rules the roost' with its bendable smartphones, but Motorola is a strong contender with the Razr 70 Ultra. He noted the 4-inch external display for checking messages and replying to emails, which opens to a 6.96-inch Extreme AMOLED screen with a 165Hz refresh rate, ideal for browsing, watching movies and playing games. He also criticised the price as 'not cheap', but praised the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, 5,000mAh battery, 68W TurboPower charging, and a dual-lens camera with a 50MP LOFIC sensor that captures up to six times more dynamic range.
