Prince William has made his stance clear regarding his approach towards his estranged brother, Prince Harry, during what has been dubbed a “week of chaos” in the UK. The Duke of Sussex travelled back to Britain for five days last week to attend various engagements linked to his patronages. Harry also managed to squeeze in a private family meeting with his father, King Charles, and his family, Meghan Markle, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Queen Camilla was also present. However, one royal was notably absent from the sweet family gathering – the Prince of Wales.
Royal Author Claims William Feels Betrayed
Now, a royal author has claimed that William is most likely not “losing sleep” over his brother’s meeting with the King, even though he still feels “betrayed” by Harry. Royal biographer Robert Jobson told Newsweek: “William will not be losing sleep over his father’s afternoon meeting with his brother and family, but nor will he be softening. He feels betrayed. He does not trust his brother. That is personal, and it is settled.”
Author Ingrid Seward Echoes Sentiment
Author Ingrid Seward echoed this sentiment, saying: “I don't think William would give it the time of day. His attitude is 'let them all get on with it, I don't want to get involved.' Just complete disinterest.” She added: “Harry and Meghan are on the outside, and I don't think William has any intention of speaking to Harry. Why should he? At this stage, he has no reason to speak to Harry.”
Background of the Feud
The Duke has made a number of claims against his brother, including a physical altercation with him, in his bombshell book, Spare. William has never commented on those claims; however, the two feuding brothers are believed not to be on speaking terms.
