Prince Harry gave an update about King Charles' health during a surprise solo appearance at the Time100 Sports Gala in New York City on Thursday night. The Duke of Sussex was overheard telling guests that the King is 'doing great', according to an insider speaking to Page Six.
Harry's UK Visit and Family Reunion
The 41-year-old royal made the comment after returning from the UK, where he attended events for the Invictus Games and was joined by his wife Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, on July 10. The Sussex family visited King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove House last Friday.
This was the first time the King had seen his two youngest grandchildren since 2022. An insider told Page Six that Harry also spoke about his children, saying: 'The kids are growing like weeds.'
King Charles' Health Background
The King, 77, disclosed he had been diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer two years ago. Harry's positive update comes amid ongoing tensions within the royal family, with Prince William reportedly feeling 'betrayed' after Harry's 'week of chaos'.
Sussex Family's Return to the US
The Sussex family are now said to be 'happy' to be back in the United States after their brief UK trip. Harry's appearance at the Time100 Sports Gala marked his first public engagement since returning from Britain.
