Prince William will ultimately decide Prince Harry's fate in the Royal Family, according to commentator Mark Dolan, who claims Meghan Markle's addiction to attention makes a return impossible while Harry's brother is in charge.
William to reverse Charles's decisions
Speaking on Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered this week, Dolan flew to Los Angeles to meet the presenter in person. He argued that while King Charles might be "naive" enough to allow Harry to be "half-in, half-out" of the monarchy, Prince William would not accept such an arrangement when he takes the throne.
Dolan said any decision Charles makes about Harry will be "reversed" by William, meaning Harry needs to impress his brother rather than his father. The comments come after Harry, Meghan and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilbet, met their grandparents for the first time in years at Highgrove earlier this summer.
Meghan's addiction to noise
Dolan claimed that within palace circles, the mood is not one of forgiveness towards Meghan. He said the focus is predominantly on Archie and Lili, and that Charles wants to "tie up this loose end" because he dislikes the "soap opera" surrounding the couple.
"He thinks by slowly welcoming Harry back into the royal fold, that he ends that soap opera, he stops the noise. What he doesn't realise, because he's a kindly but naive man, is he's making the noise louder," Dolan said.
On Meghan, Dolan said she is on her "best behaviour" in principle to secure a royal return, but predicted it "ain't gonna happen" because she cannot help herself. "Meghan cannot do well-behaved. She doesn't know well-behaved; it's not in her make-up, or in her gifts," he said.
Attention greater than caution
Dolan explained that Meghan has "an addiction to noise, to publicity, to attention, and that will be greater than any caution about her royal return." Presenter Kinsey Schofield agreed, adding: "She needs the headlines after her birthday too much to have the patience."
