Emmerdale fans predict Kim Tate another secret child twist

Emmerdale fans are predicting another secret child twist for Kim Tate, suggesting her newly revealed daughter Thea Ramsden may have a twin brother living in the village.

The speculation follows the September revelation that Kim (Claire King) had a secret daughter decades ago: DS Thea Ramsden (Chelsea Edge), who made her debut on the ITV soap earlier this year. Kim has no idea her long-lost daughter has tracked her down, with Thea now seeking revenge after being abandoned as a baby.

Fans tip Mackenzie Boyd as Kim's other child

On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, viewers suggested Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) could be Kim's other secret child. One person wrote: "Think there's more to come from Kim and Thea. I'm putting money on Thea being a twin." Another added: "Mackenzie maybe?" A third chimed in: "They look like siblings tbh," while another commented: "I like this idea."

Kim, played by Claire King, first appeared on the soap in 1989 and has been involved in numerous storylines, from feuds and romances to faking her own death.

Claire King on Kim's reaction

Discussing the secret child twist, Claire King told Digital Spy: "The audience actually gets to know about it before Kim does. It'll be quite a good surprise for them to see Kim's reaction as well, which actually we haven't even filmed yet!"

She added: "So we're working on this quite a bit and there's quite a long way to go before we get to Kim's reaction, because of certain storylines with Joe's baby and everything. There are a lot of ins and outs, and ups and downs, en route to that."

Asked whether Kim ever expected to meet her daughter, Claire explained: "I think to a certain extent, she always says, 'I've never forgotten you', but I think she really wanted to just wipe it out of her brain. Because she thought she was giving her daughter to a good home and that she was happy."

Emmerdale airs Monday to Friday at 8:00pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
