Meghan Markle's Thanksgiving Prep & Netflix Christmas Special Revealed
Meghan Markle Shares Thanksgiving Prep & Netflix Trailer

The Duchess of Sussex has offered her followers an intimate look into her family's Thanksgiving preparations, sharing a charming video of herself seasoning a turkey just days after releasing a glittering trailer for her upcoming Netflix Christmas special.

A Glimpse into Sussex Family Traditions

Meghan Markle, 44, took to Instagram to share a brief video showing her mixing an array of seasonings in a bowl before rubbing the mixture onto a raw turkey. The Duchess captioned the playful clip 'Let the game begin. Get It? #mom joke' before placing the bird in the oven.

This domestic scene comes shortly after Meghan unveiled the trailer for her festive Netflix show, where she's seen locking lips with Prince Harry and discussing the importance of 'embracing tradition'. The Christmas edition of With, Love Meghan showcases how the Sussex family celebrates the holiday season.

Netflix Special Reveals Family Celebrations

In the glamorous trailer, viewers get insights into how Meghan, Prince Harry, and their two children—six-year-old Archie and four-year-old Lilibet—mark the festive period. The mother-of-two appears organising Christmas-themed cookies alongside milk in personalised Santa mugs bearing her children's names.

The Duchess smiles while painting snowflake sweet treats and preparing crafted advent calendars filled with notes and special gifts for Archie and Lilibet. The production features appearances from tennis champion Naomi Osaka, chef Tom Colicchio, and Meghan's longtime friend Lindsay Roth, among others.

'Being a hostess or a host is about making people feel comfortable,' Meghan remarks in the trailer, emphasising that the gift-giving season represents 'embracing tradition'.

Montecito Family Life and Business Ventures

The Christmas special was filmed in Montecito, where the Duke and Duchess reside with their children, though not in their own $14.65 million (£11.1 million) home. Instead, production took place at an $8 million (£6.2 million) farmhouse owned by philanthropists Tom and Sherrie Cipolla, located just a stone's throw from the Sussex residence.

Meanwhile, Meghan's latest newsletter for her lifestyle brand As Ever revealed that the entire family harvests sage from their garden for their homemade Thanksgiving feast. Sage is among Markle's 'favourite' flavours, and she's documented herself 'flowering sage' in her backyard on Instagram throughout the year.

The newsletter described family strolls through the garden with their two dogs, noting that 'Archie and Lili running in tow, her husband checking on the bees' created magical sun-drenched moments with the scent of sage always present.

This personal anecdote also served to promote As Ever's new Sage Honey with Honeycomb, retailing for $32.00 (£24.48), alongside her trio of £27 ($36) jams that she encouraged fans to purchase to 'unwrap the magic' of the season.

The timing of these revelations proved particularly noteworthy, as Meghan posted her Netflix trailer moments before Prince William and Princess Kate made their appearance at the star-studded Royal Variety Performance, where the future King and Queen dazzled attendees at London's Royal Albert Hall.
