Meghan Markle was dealt a humiliating blow on TalkTV after a PR expert accused the Duchess of Sussex of causing King Charles “discomfort”. During an appearance on The Late Show, presenter Ash Gould grilled PR expert Andy Barr about the Sussexes’ return to the UK after leaving the Royal Family for a life in Montecito.
Gould asked: “Do you think she’s going to follow the royal protocol?” Barr responded: “Oh very much not. She very much always overexplains and she always complains, and that’s partially the issue. The British public… we’re a forgiving bunch. We love a comeback story, we love the Royal Family and we don’t want to see people like King Charles in discomfort, we want him to enjoy his time with his grandkids.”
Trust and Non-Disclosure Agreements
Gould pressed: “But hasn’t the trust gone? Even if they get it back to as normal as they can, won’t they be thinking, ‘This could end in tears and then everything we’ve said in the last few months is out’.” He then asked: “Will they get them to sign non-disclosure agreements or things like that?”
Barr replied: “I can’t see Harry and Meghan and their advisors signing up to that. I think they’re very much going to test the waters, see what the reaction is.” He added: “Will they even stay in the UK, three, four years down the line when their kids have finished primary school? Who knows? They’ve gone once.”
