Mark Dolan Halts Show for Biggest Royal Story, Bad for Meghan

Mark Dolan halted his show 'The Royals Uncensored' for what he described as the 'biggest royal story of the year,' delivering a bombshell update that spells trouble for Meghan Markle.

Programme Paused for Major Announcement

The spin-off of Piers Morgan Uncensored paused its latest episode on June 18 to break the news. Dolan declared the story 'without doubt, and by an order of magnitude, the biggest royal story of the year' and a 'bombshell' that surprised royal journalists and the public alike.

This week has seen significant royal developments, including King Charles attending Royal Ascot, Princess Catherine and her children being booed, Prince George's enrollment at Eton College, and the announcement that Meghan Markle will return to the UK with her children for the first time since 2022 later this summer.

Dolan's Analysis

Dolan commented on the strained relationship between the Sussexes and the Royal Family, noting that while there had been signs of progress, the timing of Meghan's return is unexpected. He stated: 'We know the mood music is that things are falling in the relationship between the Sussexes and the King and the Firm. We had the Clarence House face-to-face last September. Clearly the wheels have slowly been in motion, but we didn't expect it to happen this summer.'

He added that he thought the obvious moment would be Invictus next year in Birmingham, but for it to happen in July is significant. He branded the move as 'desperate,' suggesting that the Sussex brand has failed in the United States, with money drying up and gigs disappearing.

Dolan concluded: 'After all Meghan has said about the UK and about the Royal Family… the fact that it is happening for this non-event, a one-year countdown which Harry could have easily done on Zoom from Montecito, smacks of desperation.'
