Louise Redknapp's divorce from Jamie Redknapp was granted in a hearing lasting just 25 seconds at the Central Family Court in London in December 2017. The couple, who married in 1998, had been separated for two months prior to the hearing.
Grounds for Divorce
Court documents revealed that Louise filed for divorce, citing that the marriage had irretrievably broken down due to Jamie's "unreasonable behaviour". Judge Mulkis ruled that Jamie had conducted himself in a manner that Louise could not "reasonably be expected" to live with him, determining the marriage had "broken down irretrievably". Jamie did not contest the petition.
Louise's Reflections
Louise, former singer with Eternal, previously revealed she felt like "a sort of Stepford Wife" after giving up her career to be a full-time mother. She said: "I have spent most of my life pleasing everyone else, worrying about being judged and thinking I should always do the right thing by staying at home, looking after my kids and my husband. I lost myself."
She added: "I'd think of my past life as a popstar as being 'not reality'. Looking after the house and my family was my reality. I became a sort of Stepford Wife, wanting to be perfect at it."

Louise has reportedly split from her boyfriend of over two years, Drew Michael, her first public relationship since the divorce. Before the reported split, she said: "Drew is great with my boys. He's just a really great guy. I feel very lucky to have met him."
Jamie married model Frida Andersson in 2021, and they share a four-year-old son, Raphael. Frida has four children from her former marriage to Jonathon Lourie. Jamie admitted that blended families "are never straightforward", telling The Times: "Of course, there are going to be moments when it's a little bit… you know… something gets said, but that's absolutely natural and they all get on well. You have to give a lot of leeway for that and make sure that you're understanding other people's feelings."
