King Charles gives Harry and William reconciliation deadline
King Charles sets reconciliation deadline for Harry and William

King Charles is reportedly determined to end the long-standing rift between Prince William and Prince Harry, and has given them a strict "deadline" to reconcile, according to sources.

The Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex are no longer on speaking terms, despite Harry's return to Britain in the summer, six years after he left the country to move to the US. Harry's return sparked hope for a royal reconciliation, but William's stance has reportedly remained firm against his brother.

Deadline set for Diana anniversary

New reports claim the King wants his sons to reconcile by next year, ahead of the 30th anniversary of Princess Diana's death, for the sake of his grandchildren. Charles is reportedly considering holding a small tribute to honour the late Princess of Wales, and wants William and Harry to attend.

A source told New Idea magazine: "He wants all Diana's grandchildren there too. He figures there's a chance of calming down some of the anger by reminding those boys of family, kids and God."

King 'going all-in' on reconciliation

The source added: "Charles is at the point of no return with Harry and William – he's going all-in on a reconciliation for the sake of his grandkids."

The Queen and the Princess Royal are reportedly "backing" the King's plans for a royal reunion. The source continued: "After Earl Spencer's book, they have to be a united force."

Future gratitude for William

The insider added: "William may not see it to his advantage now, but Charles knows there'll come a day when he'll be grateful to have his brother's back."
