King Charles makes 'deliberate' move over Harry and Meghan

King Charles has reportedly made a "deliberate" move regarding his estranged son, Prince Harry, in what is seen as the clearest sign yet that the monarch wants a warmer relationship with him, in stark contrast to the Prince of Wales.

The Duke of Sussex's relationship with the Royal Family turned icy after he quit his royal duties six years ago and moved to the US for a financially independent life. Harry has now returned to Britain with his family, including wife Meghan Markle and children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Plans for a Christmas meeting

New reports claim the King is already planning to meet with the Sussexes by Christmas, a prospect that seems less likely with William, who still keeps his "doors shut."

Journalist Rob Shuter said on his Substack that, according to sources, time has already been reserved in the royal diary for a meeting with the Sussexes and the King and Queen before Christmas. The date and location have not been disclosed.

One source said: "This is not a casual 'let's get together sometime'. Nobody drops in on the King. If Harry and Meghan are in Charles's diary, it is because he wants them there. This is deliberate."

William remains distant

Another source added: "The important thing is that there will be another meeting. Charles is making room for his son again, and Harry knows how significant that is."

However, not everything is positive regarding Prince William. A source said: "Harry has reached out. William isn't responding. There is no meaningful communication with William or Catherine. Charles is willing to move forward. William is not."

Piers Morgan's view on the rift

Broadcaster Piers Morgan claimed the brothers' longstanding rift will make any future reunion unlikely. He told Fox News: "Well, they don't speak to each other and haven't done so for years."

Morgan added that William is "absolutely incandescent with anger about what his little brother did in trashing the Royal Family," including "writing books, doing Netflix documentary shows, doing podcasts, always dumping on the family and attacking his wife, Catherine, attacking Camilla, attacking King Charles."

Mr Morgan said: "Harry took out the spray gun. And when you do that, family members on the receiving end won't like it. My sympathies are entirely with Prince William, who's a thoroughly honourable, decent young man who's just had it with his brother and wants nothing to do with him."
