King Charles and Queen Camilla will undertake a royal tour in the Caribbean region this autumn, Buckingham Palace has announced. The King and Queen will head on an “autumn tour” from Tuesday, October 27, to Wednesday, November 4.
Tour to Celebrate Commonwealth Communities
According to the Palace, the autumn tour will “celebrate communities, cultures and nature within the Commonwealth family”. The King and Queen will visit Antigua and Barbuda to coincide with their attendance at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2026, which takes place in early November.
It will be held in St John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, and will bring together leaders from the 56 Commonwealth countries, as well as representatives from business, civil society, and youth organisations.
Visit to Antigua and Barbuda
As Prince of Wales, Charles visited Antigua and Barbuda in November 2017, following the widespread devastation caused by Hurricanes Irma and Maria. It will be Camilla’s first official visit to Antigua and Barbuda.
The King, Head of the Commonwealth, will also visit the Bahamas and Guyana, at the invitation of the country’s president and at the request of the UK Government. Charles’s visit to Guyana will mark 60 years of bilateral relations between the UK and the country. He previously visited Guyana in February 2000 and The Bahamas in July 1973.
Prince Harry's UK Arrival
It comes as the King's younger son, Prince Harry, arrived in the UK today, six years after leaving the country for a new life in America. Harry, Meghan, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet flew into the country on a private plane from California shortly before midday on Wednesday, landing at Birmingham Airport.
The family were said to have travelled on a Bombardier Global Express XRS luxury long-range business jet. A spokesman for the duke and duchess declined to comment on their travel movements, citing the importance of privacy and security. “This is not something we would comment on,” the spokesman said.
