The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to arrive back in the UK with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, after six years of living primarily in California.
The family's move follows their 2020 step-back from royal duties and marks their return to Britain as private individuals.
Relocation and School Plans
The family is relocating to a private, non-royal residence outside London. Their children have been enrolled in a British school to start the upcoming September term.
They will not resume duties as working royals, nor will they receive a "half-in, half-out" arrangement within the monarchy.
King Charles Informed
King Charles was informed of the decision shortly before their return. The King has welcomed the opportunity to spend more personal, private time with his son and grandchildren.
The move comes amid a gradual thawing of relations between Harry and his father following a private visit earlier in the summer, though tensions and estrangement between Harry and his brother, Prince William, remain significant.
