Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, are arriving back in the UK today, according to reports. Harry, Meghan, along with their two children are believed to be flying into the country privately from California.
They are not expected to return to official duties but will live in Britain as private citizens and non-working royals. A spokesman for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said "this is not something we would comment on".
Children enrolled in British schools
Children Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, have been enrolled in school and the new term is due to start next week. It comes after a royal expert revealed last week where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are likely to relocate to in the UK, after enrolling their two children in British schools.
It is thought the family will base themselves at a private property outside of London in the Cotswolds area, reports BBC News.
Cotswolds likely destination
Royal reporter Tom Sykes considers the Cotswolds the most probable destination for the couple, citing the duke's longstanding connection to the region, reports the Express.
He said on his The Royalist YouTube channel: "Harry is very interested in the Cotswolds - it's obviously where he grew up. He knows the roads around there, he knows the back roads very importantly, he knows the pubs, and he has a lot of friends in the area still."
Recent UK visit and project offer
Meghan travelled to the UK in July with Archie and Lilibet to join Harry when he came to the end of a week-long series of events promoting the Invictus Games.
During the visit, the Duke and Duchess took their children to see the King for the first time in four years at his Highgrove home, but are not thought to have raised the prospect of a return to the UK at that meeting. However, it is thought to have provided the catalyst for their return to the UK.
It has also been reported that the move was prompted after Meghan received an offer to take part in an upcoming British-based project. News.com.au, citing entertainment sources, reported that the Duchess has been offered an undisclosed role in the upcoming project.
